Instructions
Gather all ingredients before starting the recipe.
Pour 1 cup of olive oil into a microwave safe bowl.
Add sliced shallots, give it a quick stir and place in microwave oven.
Cook on high for 10 minutes and check to see if the shallots have become a light golden color. Microwave for 1 minute at a time after 10 minutes if it looks like it needs to brown a bit.
Remove shallots to a paper towel and season with kosher salt.
