tagliatelle and smoked tomato sauce and perfect poached egg

Ingredients 

  • 2 whole eggs
  • 1/2 lb Jimmy Dean bulk sausage or Italian suasage
  • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp sweet Hungarian paprika
  • 3/4 cup Homemade Red Sauce or jarred red sauce
  • 1/3 green bell pepper cut into strips
  • 10-12 whole mushrooms
  • 10-12 whole kalamata olives sliced in half

Instructions

  • Gather all ingredients before starting recipe.
  • Brown 1/2 lb Jimmy Dean bulk sausage in a medium frying pan over medium high heat until lightly browned, drain if needed.
  • Slice 1/3 green bell pepper strips, cut in half and add to sausage and cook with sausage until the peppers loose their crispness, about 4-5 minutes. Add 10-12 whole mushrooms and 10-12 whole kalamata olives, cut in half.
  • Spread Homemade Red Sauce or jarred red sauce about an inch thick over the sausage, pepper mixture and turn the heat down to medium and cook until the sauce is warmed through.
