Brie Crostini with Chopped Walnuts and Honey

Ingredients 

  • 1 small baguette thinly sliced in circles, allow 3 slices per person
  • 7 oz brie cheese sliced
  • 1/2 cup walnut or pecan pieces chopped
  • honey to drizzle
  • 2-3 sprigs fresh thyme leaves to garnish optional

Instructions

  • Gather all the ingredients before starting the recipe.
  • Pre heat oven to 550°F or high as high as your oven will go.
  • Slice 7 oz brie cheese into medium thick slices and cover each slice of baguette, you may need more than one slice of brie.
  • Line a cookie sheet with aluminum foil and place the bread slices on the foil.
  • Bake in the oven until the brie becomes bubbly and has melted, about 3-5 minutes.
  • Remove from oven, crumble chopped pecans or walnuts on the melted brie, sprinkle with fresh thyme and then drizzle honey on each slice.
  • Transfer slices to a platter and serve warm.
