Combine 1/2 chicken cut into serving sized pieces, 1 tbsp dry sherry, 2 tbsp hoisin or oyster sauce (Asian section of grocery store), 1 tbsp light soy sauce, 1 tsp grated garlic, 1 tsp grated gingerin a plastic bag, seal and message the marinade into the chicken to cover all surfaces. Set aside for two hours to marinate before grilling.
