Our little terrace has a number of Japanese Lilacs and I have noticed over the last week or so that the leaves are beginning to drop.
I don’t think that they are deprived in any way, I just think that it is getting to be that time of year when these changes start to happen.
Right along with the days getting shorter, the mornings darker, and while we have had late summer temperatures until recently, the nights seem to be cooler.
One sure sign of the end of summer is when the apples start to ripen and turn red. I shot this photo at our golf club and the image just brought it all home.
It’s time to turn to comfort food again, lots of soups and stews. And of course, it’s time to celebrate our Thanksgiving, with perfect roast turkey and all the trimmings!
