Toronto’s pubs and neighborhood restaurants are still shut down, but our golf course north of the city gave us the opportunity to have lunch on its patio overlooking the 18th island green recently.
We were well distanced and there were’t many of us but it felt really good to be eating something that I didn’t prepare, serve and then clean up after (and the burger was really good). I really miss eating out, for the variety, the inspiration, the company, the atmosphere and everything else that goes with it. But, in the meantime, there is golf, and now, a place to stop before we head home. It sure beats driving through the McDonald’s take out line. Here’s to better times soon!
It is really enjoyable to read through your blogs, hear your thoughts on the present crazy situation and reflect on ways that we spend our time during this pandemic. We are social creatures and if there is anything good about the Corona experience is that we will come out of this more appreciative of our friendships and social networks.
