Cheesesteak sliders are the ultimate comfort food in miniature form, ender shaved ribeye, melty cheese that stretches with every bite, and those golden, sweet caramelized onions tucked into soft rolls. It’s like Philly flavor in a party-sized package.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp vegetable oil
- 12 oz shaved ribeye steak
- 1 medium sweet onion peeled and thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese
- kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
- 3 slider buns
Garnish & Toppings
- ketchup
- fresh sliced tomatoes
- pickled sliced banana peppers
- pickled hot red cherry peppers
Instructions
Gather all instructions before starting recipe.
- Heat 1 tbsp vegetable oil over medium high heat in a medium sized skillet. When the oil is hot, 1-2 minutes, add1 medium sweet onion, thinly sliced and cook until the onions start to caramelize, about 5-6 minutes.
- Add 12 oz shaved ribeye steak to the onions and stir to combine the beef with the onions. Season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper.
- Continue to stir until the beef loses its pink color.
- Spread 1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheese over the beef and onions, cover with a lid and cook until the cheese melts. About 2-3 minutes.
- Cut 3 slider buns in half and mound the beef, onions and mixed cheese on the bottom of each bun. Top with your choice of topping.
