Ingredients 

Tarte

  • 4 dinner rolls cut in half
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/2 lb smoked ham
  • 4 oz white cheddar or gruyere cheese
  • 2 tbsp apricot jam or marmalade

Instructions

  • Pre heat oven to 375°F
  • Slice 1/2 lb smoked ham into 4 pieces and set aside until ready to use.
  • Grate 4 oz white cheddar or gruyere cheese and set aside until ready to use.
  • Cut 4 dinner rolls in half and spread 1 tbsp Dijon mustard, divided, on one side of each roll.
  • Spread 2 tbsp apricot jam or marmalade, divided, on the other side of each roll.
  • Top the other half of the bun with the remaining grated cheese.
  • Place the open faced buns on a flat sheet lined with aluminum foil and bake in a pre-heated oven for 15 minutes or until the cheese has melted and the ham begins to brown around the edges.
  • Place the top of the bun on the bottom and serve.
