Ingredients 

  • 1 stalk broccoli cut into florets
  • kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper
  • drizzle of olive oil
  • 2 cloves thinly sliced garlic

Instructions

Gather all ingredients before starting the recipe.

  • Break broccoli into florets and set aside.
  • Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a small skillet over medium high heat.
  • Add broccoli florets to skillet when the oil is hot, and season with kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper. Toss to combine. Add 2 cloves thinly sliced garlic and another drizzle of olive oil. Squeeze the juice of 1/2 lemon over the broccoli.
  • Cook for about 5-8 minutes, or until the broccoli begins to char at the edges.
