No kidding! We used to have these regularly as we had a really good butcher shop that made their own pea meal bacon. We have since moved into the city and haven’t really looked for a replacement, but as we wondered into the butcher shop just a few block away we spotted a package of pea meal.
Good memories, we went back to the grocer for some fresh buns and this was lunch!
I never thought I could finish, but we fired up the old outdoor grill, let it get to 550 and on they went. A little American cheese (is there any other kind for that instant melt?) and a couple of toasted buns, and we were lunch ready.
A new/old lunch option, I was happy!
