Going to the Saturday Market has become a routine. There are certain things that I can only get here, such as my beloved Frisée greens.
Each trip has some highlights brought on by the changes in the season. Florida is just coming into spring and the bounty of vegetables and flowers is everywhere. This weekend it was the giant snap dragons on display.
I always wanted to grow these in my garden, but never found this variety, or probably more to the point, I never had the right conditions to produce such gorgeous blooms.
I know that there has been a blast of cold up north, along with a lot of snow. We are not too far from going back, I hope that spring will be on its way when we get there.
The best we can hope for are the bright and cheery daffodils I planted a few years ago, snap dragons would only be a dream.
