We have often said that spring in Ontario is the first two weeks of May when your tulips burn. I hope that this will not happen in March as temperatures were in the 70’s just last week.

I know that trilliums make their presence just before trees come into leaf. Trilliums are forest creatures, but like all plants, they need sunshine. Same with Forget Me Nots. They thrive at this time of the year, bloom and seed, so you have even more next season.

Since I am not home this season, it’s hard to tell what’s going on, but I know that trilliums will take a back seat to patio dining. They will survive, we, humans need patio dining and great weather and we could all do with some sunshine.
