Macerated Strawberries, or for that matter any fresh berries, can be macerated. Just slice and add sugar and let it do its magic. Wonderful with ice cream, cake or just on its own.

  • 1 lb fresh strawberries hulled and halved or quartered
  • 1-2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 squeeze fresh lemon juice


Gather all ingredients before starting the recipe

  • Add 1 lb fresh strawberries hulled and sliced into a small bowl.
  • Sprinkle with 1-2 tbsp sugar and 1 squeeze fresh lemon juice.
  • Cover with cling wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes. The longer you refrigerate, the better it becomes.
