This is Amazing! No-Fried Shallots just need one cup of olive oil, 3-4 shallots thinly sliced, a few minutes in your microwave and you will get a ton of fried shallots. Great as a topping for just about anything, grilled steaks, pasta, you name it. It really is amazing.
Tip : Be sure to save the oil in which the shallots were cooked. It's delicious for dipping bread or for cooking!
Ingredients
- 1 cup olive oil
- 3-4 whole shallots peeled and thinly sliced
- kosher salt to taste
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients before starting the recipe.
- Pour 1 cup of olive oil into a microwave safe bowl.
- Add sliced shallots, give it a quick stir and place in microwave oven.
- Cook on high for 10 minutes and check to see if the shallots have become a light golden color. Microwave for 1 minute at a time after 10 minutes if it looks like it needs to brown a bit.
- Remove shallots to a paper towel and season with kosher salt.
