This past year, and especially in recent weeks, there has been a tremendous amount of pressure on all of us to stay at home and to not socialize. This is so contrary to human nature, even the term ‘social distancing’ is against human nature.
It has been a roller coaster of highs, with some easing of restrictions, and of lows, with the removal of those few simple conveniences. For us, the return to restrictions amounted to small pleasures being taken away, for many others it was their livelihood taken away.
Let’s start 2021 hoping that it will be normal, that we will be normal again and that we do not see another year of not being normal. I admire those who can roll with it all, I am not one of those. I like people and I like to be with people, I like to be social. I’m hoping for a normal 2021 and wish everyone the same.
