Many of us will have a small Christmas this year.  Especially those of us who are on our own or are separated from family and friends. I think we must all be a little weary of the term ‘unprecedented times’ but truly, these times are unprecedented. My usual resilience seemed to flag just a bit with Christmas approaching knowing that it will be without the joy of seeing friends and family and entertaining, feasting and just plain having fun.

Nonetheless, I approached this Christmas Dinner the same as I would have for a dinner party of twelve instead of our dinner party of two. I researched, looking back at past Christmas dinner party menus, then of course photos and guest lists and memories.

In the end, I landed on what is a lovely Christmas Dinner Menu. It can be scaled to any number of people, even one. It gave me the chance to try some new recipes which are both eye and pallet appealing. Who doesn’t like filet of beef? This is the cornerstone of the menu, rounded out by some festive and delicious bites.
