These tartines are delicious with a chilled glass of Rosé wine. The combination of sweet butter, the brininess of the quick pickle and the surprise of the sweet coming from the pomegranate seeds makes for a perfectly balanced small bite.
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Quick Pickle for each slice of bread
- 1/2 tbsp or more of good quality unsalted butter
- 1/2 loaf multigrain sour dough bread
- Garnish with pomegranate seeds
Instructions
- Cut as many slices of bread as you would like to serve.
- Generously spread each slice of bread with good quality unsalted butter, go right to the edges.
- Measure out quick pickle and drain on a paper towel.
- Top each slice of bread with quick pickle.
- Sprinkle pomegranate seeds over the quick pickle and let it spill onto the platter.
