I often try new recipes which are out of context with the season, but they catch my attention. If I love them after making them, they sometimes wind up in my ‘must publish’ directory at a future date.
Sometimes these recipes sit there for several months or until the right two or three other recipes in the same genre catch my attention. In this case clams and crab meat.
I was thinking of my next post when I realized that I already had that trio.
I tend to publish recipes in three’s, maybe because my front page slider has three images and perhaps also because I tend to post to social media in three’s.
In any event, here’s my trio, and I love every one of them.
Baltimore Deep Dish White Pizza
They are all truly delicious and we’ve had them more than once.
While you can scale most of these recipes, there are two recipes that do not scale well at all.
The first is the New England Clam Chowder, but this soup keeps well refrigerated and served another day.
The second is the Baltimore Deep Dish White Pizza.
You must invite friends (when you can) or family for a brunch when you make this dish as it is far too much for two, and while ok the next day, it is absolutely delicious when you make it fresh. Just add a side salad of greens and serve a glass of Mimosa and you have a luxurious brunch, wow!
