I have tried to make Chicken Wing Drumsticks for years without being totally happy with the results. I tried low and slow, high heat but the drumsticks never seemed to brown and crisp in the oven. Then I tried using my Roast Chicken Seasoning in combination with the buffalo wing sauce, and I finally got the answer for perfect, spicy, juicy and crispy Buffalo Wing Drumsticks.
Ingredients
- 12 whole chicken drumsticks
- 3 tbsp Roast Chicken Seasoning
- kosher salt
- drizzle of canola oil
- 1/3 cup buffalo wing sauce
- 3 tbsp butter
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients before starting the recipe.
- Line a sheet pan with parchment paper or non-stick aluminum foil
- Place drumsticks on prepared sheet pan and season with kosher salt and 3 tbsp Roast Chicken Seasoning, coating all sides of the drumsticks. Set aside for an hour and up to two hours before roasting.
- Pre heat oven to 425℉
- Add a drizzle of canola oil to the chicken, turning so that all sides are covered. You don't need a lot, just a few drops per drumstick.
- Roast in a pre-heated oven for 45 minutes, turning the drumsticks every 15 minutes.
Buffalo Wing Sauce
- Measure 1/3 cup buffalo wing sauce into a microwave safe measuring cup, add 3 tbsp butter and heat on high for 2-3 minutes, stir to combine.
- Transfer sauce to a large bowl, add the roasted drumsticks and toss in the wing sauce until the chicken is evenly coated.
- Serve with lots of napkins!
