Garam Masala is an Indian spice blend, varying in ingredients by region and apparently a closely guarded secret for many families. You can buy the spice blend at Indian stores or, make your own, or if you’re lucky, sometimes you can find it in specialty food stores. I have included a Punjabi recipe, as this spice blend most resembled the Garam Masala I used.
