We had guests visiting us from the north and as it happened, Florida was less than 60 (or 15 for those north of the border) so, it seemed like a great opportunity to serve ‘winter’ food. I saw Spaghetti pie somewhere and we just had spaghetti and meat sauce, so…..why not try this presentation?
You have to admit, it is a different way to present spaghetti and meat balls, and while it’s a little ‘fiddly’ it’s also fun, our guests were amazed!
It’s also difficult to photograph, some foods are difficult, this ranks pretty high.
In keeping with the Italian theme and warmer climates for us, I also made a tomato basil salad and it was great as we were in the mid-summer season for tomatoes in Florida.
This was the full menu, a week day and pretty casual.
