This Basic Vinaigrette Dressing is wonderfully versatile. I made it to go with a Boston Salad as a start, but quite unconventionally, I also used  with grated Parmesan for a chicken Caesar Salad.

Ingredients 

  • 1/2 shallot finely chopped
  • 1 large tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 2 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • kosher salt and ground black pepper

Instructions

Gather all ingredients before starting the recipe.

  • Combine 1/2 shallot finely chopped, 1 large tbsp Dijon mustard, 2 tbsp red wine vinegar, 1/2 cup olive oil and season with kosher salt and ground black pepper. Stir to combine and set aside until ready to use.
