This dinner of Lemon-Garlic Marinated Grilled Veal Chops was outstanding! The garlic and olive oil marinade made the veal tender, juicy and delicious. I served it with Garlic-Lemon Greek Roasted Potatoes, and wow, it was good.

 

Lemon-Garlic Marinated Grilled Veal Chop

Ingredients 

  • 2 veal chops
  • kosher salt and ground black pepper

Marinade

  • 3 cloves grated garlic
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 lemon zested
  • 2-3 sprigs fresh rosemary
  • 1 tsp whole peppercorns

Instructions

  • Gather all ingredients before starting recipe.
  • Remove veal chops from refrigerator at least one hour before grilling and season well with kosher salt and ground black pepper
  • Mix 3 cloves grated garlic , 2 tbsp olive oil, 1 lemon zested, 2-3 sprigs fresh rosemary, chopped and 1 tsp whole peppercorns in a small bowl. Mix and pour into a zip lock bag and add veal chops to the bag. Message veal chops so that all the surfaces of the veal are equally covered with marinade. Set aside for an hour and up to 2 hours before grilling,

Grilling

  • Pre heat grill to high, place veal chop on the grill and close the lid and grill for 3-4 minutes, or until the chop is nicely caramelized and is free to remove from the grill. If the chops seem to stick to the grill, leave for another minute or two.
  • Flip the chops and grill for another 3-4 minutes.
  • Remove to a platter and allow to rest for 4-5 minutes before serving,
