The combination of flavors in this Baked Fontina with Garlic, Rosemary, Honey and Orange is different and delicious. A perfect small bite before dinner.
Ingredients
- 1/2 lb Fontina cheese
- drizzle of olive oil
- 1 sprig rosemary leaves finely chopped
- 1 clove garlic grated
- 1 whole orange zest only
- 1 tbsp honey drizzled over melted Fontina
Instructions
- Gather all ingredients before starting the recipe.
- Pre heat oven to 400°F
- Mix 1 sprig rosemary leaves, chopped, 1 clove garlic grated and the zest of 1 whole orange in a small bowl.
- Cut 1/2 lb Fontina cheese into 1" cubes, and transfer to an oven proof dish or small cast iron skillet. Sprinkle mixed herbs over the cheese, add a drizzle of olive oil.
- Cover the dish with aluminum foil and place on a sheet pan covered with aluminum foil. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is hot and bubbly.
Serving
- Drizzle honey over melted cheese.
- Serve melted cheese with fruit and nut bread or fruit and nut crackers
